BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME

We made it to the top of Lavers Hill without stopping. It was a REAL climb. The weather was very cooperative… overcast, cool with a slight breeze. Then we reached the top and the temperature rose 15 degrees as the sun was shining.

After finding a campsite, we walked along the main road of this very small town and discovered McDuffy’s Bakehouse. Louise and Ian Duffy were celebrating their first day in business.

Louise was a formal employee of the Marriott Corporation and lived and worked in the same city that Gary grew up in, Bellevue Washington. It sure is a small world!
