This three-month part of our adventure takes us to the land Down Under… Australia! We arrived in Sydney on November 21, 2002, then flew to Adelaide, South Australia where we rented a car to drive the 1,000 miles to Ceduna to view a total solar eclipse of the sun. A few days later we were back in Adelaide and on our bikes to Sydney and beyond, up to the Gold Coast, Coolangatta. Departing for New Zealand on February 20, 2003

This section of Australia begins with our arrival from Singapore on November 21. It includes our adventures in Sydney and a short excursion to the north, followed by a total eclipse of the sun and a short wilderness adventure on Kangaroo Island. It ends on December 8, 2002
